Peec AI's Brand Perception Tool Shows What ChatGPT Says

The short version

THE SHORT VERSION: Peec AI launched Brand Perception on September 17, showing companies exactly how ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot, and Claude describe, compare, and raise objections about their brand, plus which of those claims are actually true. It's the first tool to score brand attributes and fact-check AI-generated claims against company-supplied facts.

What happened

Peec AI, the AI visibility monitoring company, launched Brand Perception on September 17, 2026, according to a company announcement on GlobeNewswire. The feature tracks seven AI systems, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot, and Claude, and splits results into three views: Market, which scores brand attributes on a 0-100 association scale against named competitors; Objections, which groups the arguments AI models raise against a brand when buyers compare options; and Fact-Checking, which flags whether AI-generated claims about a company are contradicted, supported, inconclusive, or not covered by facts the company has registered. Peec AI has raised $40 million from investors including Singular and Antler, and says it has surpassed $15 million in ARR with more than 3,000 brands and agencies on the platform since its January 2025 founding.

For most of this year, AI search tools have tracked whether a brand gets mentioned at all. Brand Perception moves the fight to what gets said once you're in the conversation: the attributes, objections, and half-true claims that shape a buyer's first impression before they ever visit your site. A founder who has never audited this has no idea if ChatGPT is quietly repeating a stale pricing claim, or a competitor's talking point, as settled fact.

  1. Claim your facts before AI fills the gap
Peec's Fact-Checking view only works once a company has registered its own facts: pricing, positioning, differentiators. Brands that skip this step let ChatGPT and Gemini infer answers from whatever secondary source ranks highest, which is often a competitor's comparison page or a stale review.
  2. Read the objections list like a sales call recording
The Objections view groups the specific arguments AI models raise against a brand when buyers ask for comparisons. Treat each recurring objection as a message gap your website, one-pagers, or sales enablement content isn't closing, the same way you'd flag a pattern from lost-deal call notes.
  3. Track attribute scores against at least two competitors
Market view scores brand attributes 0-100 against named competitors, not in isolation. A single score means little without contrast; run the comparison against your two closest competitors monthly so a slipping number shows up before it costs you a deal.

By the numbers: Peec AI now tracks brand mentions across 7 AI systems, has raised $40 million total, has surpassed $15 million in ARR, and serves more than 3,000 brands and agencies less than two years after launch.

What to do this week

Pick one AI system, start with ChatGPT since it still drives the most B2B research traffic, and manually ask it three questions a prospect would: what your company does, how you compare to your closest competitor, and what your weaknesses are. Write down every objection and stale fact it surfaces, then correct the record on your homepage FAQ or a dedicated comparison page. It costs an hour and beats waiting on a monitoring subscription to tell you what's already costing you deals.
